Take advantage of the Commerce hotel's location to discover the rich heritage of the town of Quintin, inherited from its past as a centre for linen trading. Take a stroll through old Quintin and admire the façade of the medieval castle on the banks of the lake and the 7.50 m high menhir of the Roche Long. In the town centre, superb town houses that bear witness to the wealth of the cloth merchants stand side by side with timber-framed 16th-century houses and charming granite residences from the 17th and 18th centuries. A little further afield is the superb Notre-Dame basilica, the Château de Quintin and its ‘Arts de la Table’ exhibition. Don't forget to make a stop at the Linen Factory and Workshop, where you can learn all about the linen-making process.
Just 15 minutes from Quintin is the pretty town of Saint-Brieuc and its magnificent bay. The fifth-largest bay in the world in terms of tidal range, it is also the second-largest nature reserve in Brittany, with an incredible bird sanctuary boasting over 35,000 birds. You'll also find 250km of waymarked footpaths, including the legendary ‘sentier des douaniers’ (customs officers' path) with the GR34 and its 57km of coastline, dotted with magnificent unspoilt countryside. Close to Saint-Brieuc is Erquy, with its fine sandy beaches, pink sandstone rocks and harbour, from which you can set sail for the island of Bréhat, nicknamed the Island of Flowers, for a guaranteed change of scenery.

A unique spot. Ideal for a day out. On the hillside of this historic site, 53 kms from Quintin (1 hour by car), you will discover more than fifty statues, 3 to 4 metres high, carved in stone by various sculptors.
